      Elsie Elva Schimpf, 87, of Greenock, died Thursday, January 13, 2011. Born in Duquesne, October 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Daniel R. and Beulah Warner Neary and wife of the late Hector J. Schimpf, who died April 16, 1996. A retired operating room aide at the former Mount Pleasant Hospital with 30 years of service, she previously worked at McKeesport Hospital and was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. She is survived by daughters Karen Wargo of Atlanta, Ga., Patty Wislosky and Shirley Clement of Greensburg and Suzan Mardis of Purcellville, Va.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 17, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Andrew Wahl officiating. (Everyone please meet at the church.) Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Greenock. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church Youth Ministry, 641 Zimmer Hill Drive, Greenock, Pa., 15047.
