From the 100 YEARS BOOK OF THE LINDEMANN STORE printed by the New Ulm Enterprise can be found more about the Lindemann store of Industry which began in 1884, when Edward Lindemann and Franz Getschmann purchased it from Fritz Holtze. In 1889 Mr. Lindemann bought out his partner, and his brother William joined the business. In 1905 William sold his interest and moved to Cost, Texas and Edward Lindemann's oldest son, Eddie, joined his father. Later the younger brother, Monroe, joined the business. Today the store is still in operation with James Lindemann, son of Milton and Adela Lindemann, in partnership with Garth Griffith and Clyde Heinsohn.
