  [S26] SCISSORTAILS STILL RETURN TO SCHOENAU, p. 63. Egon enjoyed baseball and played on many sandlot teams. Egon and Flora lived in Schoenau, Texas. In 1944, they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary at their home in the Schoenau community. They farmed, cared for their cattle, had a garden, fruit trees, and poultry. They were married for 47 years. During that time they had Franciska Trenckmann, Egon's aunt, living with them for awhile.
