      Imogene Welch Ivey; Birth: Dec. 9, 1928, Bandera County, Texas, USA; Death: Oct. 1, 2013, Texas, USA; Note: Emogene Pawvlik Ivey was born in Bandera County on December 9, 1928 to William Edward Welch and Minnie Minerva Hodges Welch. She lived her formative years in the Pipe Creek and Bandera communities. She married Raymond Valentine Pawvlik on June 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1991. On March 5, 1994 Emogene Pawvlik married Neil Ivey. Grandpa Neil (as the family affectionately called him) passed away in the year 2006. Mrs. Ivey continued to reside in Lakehills until a fall and broken hip placed her at Bandera Rehab and Therapy Nursing Facility in Bandera, Texas in December 2011. Mrs. Emogene Pawvlik Ivey has now left that facility to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. She is survived by three; children: Linda Green, Raymond W. Pawvlik and wife Kim, and Kenneth R. Pawvlik; six grand; children: Jimmy Porterfield, D.J. Green, David Pawvlik, Raymond W. Pawvlik, Jr. Sheena Ramsay, and Bryan Harden; Mrs. Ivey is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel with Martin Smith (Pastor of Bandera Church of Christ) officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to;your local Gideon Society. The family would like to thank all the office staff, nurses and aides of the Bandera Rehab and Therapy facility for their loving care of their Mother. She was also given excellent care at this facility under the direction of Dr. Saleh Jaafar and staff. We also are very thankful for the services provided by the River City Hospice for their great care of our Mother.
