      Elton Ernest Eckerman, 71, of Bishop died Sept. 28. He was a retired farmer. Eckerman was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bishop. Survivors include one sister, Edna Mann of Kingsville; two brothers, Leroy Eckerman of Bishop, and Clarence Eckerman of Atkins. A rosary was recited on Sept. 30 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. Burial followed at Restland Cemetery in Bishop.
