Miles B. Eckermann

BURTON - Services for Miles B. Eckermann, 85, of Burton are set for Saturday at 10 a.m. in First United Methodist Church of Industry, Texas.
The Rev. Jim Harrell and the Rev. Jim Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Eckermann died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
Mr. Eckermann was born in Industry and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Industry. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Eckermann of Burton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Ann Eckermann of Burton and Scott and Denise Eckermann of Brenham; a brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Helen Eckermann of Brenham; sister and brother-in law, Laura and V.L. Marek of Columbus, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Idell Kraus of Giddings, Texas, and Lorine Eckermann of Shelby, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church of Industry.
Miles died at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
