Ron attended West Jefferson Hills Schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1986 in Jefferson Hills. After graduating, he continued his preparation for college at the University Prep School in Shadyside/Pittsburgh. In 1992, he moved to Lapeer after accepting a job offer from his uncle, Edward A. May, Owner of Albar Industries, Lapeer, where he was employed at the time of his death. Ron had a multitude of talents and could envision any projects outcome. Whether working on a friend's car, woodworking project, landscaping, designing and building a waterfall or, his most recent project, building and flying drones for "Cloud Jockey LLC", he could do it. Ron was also pursuing his private pilot license.
Ron's sudden and unexpected death from a heart attack was caused from a blocked aorta artery. He is survived by his wife, Laura A. Lichalk (Couture); children, Dalton Andrew and Madison Nikole Lichalk; parents, Ronald Andrew Lichalk Sr. and Juanita Lichalk (May), of Pleasant Hills; sisters, Lauren (Dan) Galardini, of Batavia, Ill., and Tracy (Hal) Hunter, of Solan, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Judy Couture, of Metamora, Mich., and sister-in-law; Tracey (Scott) Renshaw (Couture), of Metamora. Above all else he loved his children, Dalton and Madison; his dog, Storm; the Pittsburgh Steelers football team; Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team; and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball! He left Pittsburgh, but his love of everything Pittsburgh never left him, including his love of Primanti Brothers sandwiches. We are forever thankful God blessed us with Ron as our son, and most grateful to everyone who has touched Ron's life and ours in our grief.
