She was born April 3, 1920, in Waldeck, Texas. She and the family moved to Lake Jackson on November 18, 1943. She is survived by her son, Wallace Krebs of Warrenton; daughter, Carol Ann Bundick of Bailey's Prairie and son, Wayne (Sharon) Krebs of Lake Jackson; sister-in-law, Glenora Krebs; niece, Judy Krebs Chovanec of Willow Springs; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wilkens Krebs; her parents, Edwin and Sophie Ahlrichs of La Grange; mother and father-in-law, Hugo and Annie Krebs; brother-in-law, Wilson Krebs of Willow Springs; son-in-law, Robert Bundick of Bailey's Prairie; and granddaughter, Laura Bundick Coffee of Lake Jackson. Evelyn was a member of BMH Auxiliary and worked in the gift shop of the hospital for many years. She also was a founding member of Christ Lutheran Church of Lake Jackson and served the church as Sunday School secretary, Sunday School superintendent and church secretary. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Jackson. Burial will follow at the Krebs? family cemetery in Willow Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brazosport Regional Health System Volunteers, Christ Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
