[S889] Obituary of Kimberly SuzAnne Pawlik, [Pawlik p. 444]. Kimberly SuzAnne Pawlik passed away July 21, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her father and mother, Everest and Mary Ann Pawlik of George West, brother, Phil and sister-in-law Karen of Castroville, Texas; and her two cats Cadin and Clarabelle. Kim was born November 17,1959, in Beeville, Texas. From earliest childhood. Kim loved to act. One of her first public performances was a church drama at the First Baptist Church in Geo West at the age of 6. Her last performance was at that same church in 2007. Between those two performances were many, many others. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. After appearing in numerous award-winning theater productions in L.A. and several feature films, her career ambitions became diversified. Kim taught comedy traffic school for the world-famous Comedy Store, worked for the choreographer of the TV series "Fame", ran the office for an actor's management company. That led to working for a company handling the musical artist Jim Brickman which led to joining a new company called Howling Music where she rose to Executive Producer. While in Los Angeles Kim was one of the first people to become involved in starting a support center for cancer patients called weSpark and appeared in the documentary, 'The Show Must Go On" about its founder, Wendie Jo Sperber of "Bosom Buddies" fame. After becoming a warrior in the battle with cancer, she used her talents to enlighten the world around her about this terrible disease but her love for the theater continued as she looked forward to seeing the completion of the J. Frank Dobie Performing Arts Center in the West Theater. Visitation was held from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at First Baptist Church in George West, Texas. Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at First Baptist Church with Brother Bruce Irving officiating. Interment followed in St. George Cemetery under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home.
