Henry Anton Lyssy, born on June 13, 1923, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2004 at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Aggie (Pawlik) Lyssy; children, Marcus and wife Helen, their children, Amy and husband Dominic Calabrese, Nicole and Garrett, Floyd and wife Terry, their children, Jacob, Derek, Ryan and Emily, Myrtle and husband Greg Herbst, their children, Khristina, Benjamin and Zachary, Thelma Lyssy, George Lyssy, Lawrence and wife Cynthia, their children, Lauren and Caitlyn, Susan and husband Dave Willingham, Bridget and husband Scott Hart, their children, Thomas Scott and Hannah, Karen Lyssy and fianc 5/8 Scott McInvale; sisters, Cecilia Padalecki and husband Hubert, Mary Jaskinia and husband Louis, Lillian Felux; brother, Fabian Lyssy and wife Lorraine; sister-in-law, Edna Lyssy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He served in WWII and was a member of VFW Post 8555 in Poth. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4315 in San Antonio. Henry was a drywall contractor for 34 years and founded Lyssy Drywall. Henry was an avid cattle rancher of the Beefmaster breed and the originator of Lyssy Beefmasters. He very much loved hunting, fishing and in later years was a fan of The Young and The Restless. Throughout his life, he was very involved at St. Benedict's Catholic Church and St. Gerard's High School. He also coached CYO baseball and was a Weblos Boy Scout Leader. Henry loved attending and participating in church auctions. He will be missed by those who knew him best. Visitation will begin Sunday, August 22, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 P.M. followed by a Funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Kosciusko, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Benedict's Catholic Church Building Fund, St. Jerome's Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kosciusko, organ donation fund.
