      BEN A. WINKLER VICTORIA - Ben A. Winkler went to be with the Lord February 2, 2019 at the age of 90. He was born April 15, 1928 in George West, Texas to the late Andrew and Bridget Winkler. Ben served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1958 where he met and married his wife Maria in Mannheim, Germany in 1955. Maria passed away in January 2018. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Ben was a welder and worked for Skytop and Moller Manufacturing until his retirement. He is survived by sons Steven (Jaci) Winkler of Victoria and Robert (Colleen) Winkler of Kenner, Louisiana; daughter-in-law Lupe Anthony of Laurel, Indiana; grandchildren Kyle Winkler of Beeville, Aaron (Bonnie) Rader of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and great grandchildren Austin and Sutton Rader of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Maria, son Frank S. Winkler, three sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be held at Grace Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 1:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at 1:30 pm. Burial with military honors under the auspices of the Victoria County Veterans Council, AL, CWV, VFW, DAV, MCL, MOWW, EX-POW, MOPH, VVA, and KWV will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.gracefuneralhome.net. Services are under the direction and personal care of Grace Funeral Home.
