      Gladys Long Winkler
      Gladys Long Winkler, 91, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at her home in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born November 27, 1922 in Argenta, Texas to the late Creddie and Effie Long.
      Gladys was preceded in death by three husbands; Lowell Cooper, Isadore (Easy) Winkler and Horace Hines; three sisters; Elna Sciba, Bonnie Wiater and LyNell Grimes; one brother, Orvis Long; and one grandson, Paul Winkler.
      She is survived by seven children; Peggy (Lendal) Wilks, Louis (Janet) Winkler, Woody (Sue) Winkler, Archie (Rita) Winkler, Valerie Davis, Jackie Winkler and Janet (Sandra Horine) Winkler; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
      Visitation will be held Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary, Alice, Texas. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel, 2061 East Main St., Alice, Texas. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
      In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Namikango Mission, PO Box 21, South Houston, Texas 77587. Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main St. Alice, Texas 78332.
