My natural grandmother, gave birth to Neff Boyd Scallorn..who later changed his name to Boyd Oliver. He was raised by Lydah F. Williams Oliver his aunt. no legal adoption. JBO
Longevity 43 years. Mary only lived 8 years after Boyd was born. Committed to the San Antonio State Hospital Asylum (Then called Southwestern State Hospital) on 1/30/24 court commitment cause # 13154. Manic Depressive-Depressed Type. Case# 9373 Contact: Mr. W.B. The family story is that Scallorn claimed that Neff Boyd could not be his son....therefore accusing her of infidelity. Scallorn never claimed Boyd. . JBO
She was transferred to the Austin (Senile) State Hospital July, 10, 1925. Then returned to SA State Hospital October 10, 1925. *** send for Ausitn records.
She never recovered and died in the Asylum Feb 24, 1928. Diagnosis: Cirrhosis of the Liver. Interred at Mission Burial Park.
