Norman Alfred Ruekle; Birth: Dec. 16, 1915; Death: May 22, 1975, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA; Note: Norman Alfred Ruekle was born Dec 16, 1915 to Rudolph Herman Ruekle (1886-1954) and Ella Jonas Ruekle (1888-1960). He married Addis Naomi "Tooty" Goodman on May 15, 1948 in Milford, TX. He was 32 and she was 35 and Norman and Tooty had no children born of this marriage. Norman had four brothers: Melvin, Gerald, Gilbert and Kermit. Norman worked as a clerk for the U S Postal Service in San Antonio where he and Tooty lived most of their married life. He preceded her in death in 1975 and several years later, Tooty relocated to DeSoto, TX to be closer to her brother and sister. Several of the Ruekle family members spell their surname Rueckle. The Ruekle home in San Antonio was always open and welcome to family and friends who came to visit. Norman and Tooty loved touring them around San Antonio and one of their favorite stops was the Alamo. I often wonder how many times the Ruekles visited that historic landmark of which they were so proud.
