      Leslie M. Kroesche, age 90 of New Braunfels, TX passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 3, 1927 at Clear Springs to Gilbert Kroesche and Nora Oelkers Kroesche. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years, retiring at the age of 81. Leslie was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served as part of the army of the occupation in Japan after World War II. He married Janice Voigt on September 10, 1961 and they shared 56 years of happiness together. He loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest love was for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kermit Kroesche. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice E. Kroesche; sons Kenneth Ray Kroesche and his wife Laura, Christopher Jay Kroesche, Michael Clay Kroesche and his wife Jennifer; daughter Lisa Kay Kroesche; sister Agnes Kroesche; grandchildren Hannah and Heather Kroesche, Clayton, Maggie and Jacob Kroesche; close friends James, Tena, Jimmy and Kiley Lanik; sisters-in-law Dorothy Kroesche, Charlene Spillmann, Amy Mapes and husband Delmar, Lucille Weniger and Lois Voigt; numerous nieces and nephews.
      Visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 12 noon until 2 PM at the Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. A chapel service will begin at 2 PM concluding with military honors rendered by the U. S. Army.
      Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice. A special thanks to Dr. Jason Nelson, Advanced Home Health Care and Hope Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mr. Kroesche.
