      Obituary of Raymond Roy Dandridge
      Raymond Roy Dandridge Sr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 3, 1931 and got his wings on December 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Jones and his mother Mary Dandridge, his brothers Hillard and Louis Dandridge and his son Raymond Dandridge Jr. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Buelah Dandridge, a brother Eugene Dandridge, two sisters Patricia Morrison and Linda Brown, his children Rosalind Ede (Godwin) Kaduna, Nigeria, Donna Lane Oceanside, CA, Leland (Brenda) Austin, TX, Mary Dandridge Salinas, CA, Mark Dandridge (Donna) New Braunfels, TX, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
      Raymond retired from the Army and Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center. He was in the Korean and Vietnam wars and did two tours of duty in Germany. He held an AA degree from Monterey Peninsula College in Business, a BS degree from Golden Gate University in management and was certified in Basic Tax Preparation. He was the recipient of the Bronze Medal of Star, the Ambassador for Peace Medal and numerous certificates of appreciation.
      He was an avid bowler, loved to garden and play pinochle. He was a member of the VFW Post 8679, Retired Men's Social Club and was active in the Seaside City Council.
      He was a very social person. His smile and reaching out by telephone will all be sorely missed.
