      Henry and his family is thought to have come to America on the "Clementine" in 1852. Henry Moeller served in thh Texas Home Guard during the Civil War. He was enlisted in the 23rd Battalion - Texas State Troops on April 6, 1863. According to the Texas State Archives, his enlistment was for six months. Other documents indicate he served in the Home Guard for over a year. States that the family lived in the Industry, Texas area, sold their farm in 1863 and moved to Willow Springs in Fayette County. Henry Moeller became a citizen of the United States on 12 June, 1866. The certificate of citizenship was filed in Bellville, Austin Co., Texas. The information from Germany came from church records located in Suelbeck, which is south of Stadthagen.
