Evangelical Friedens Church, San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas
Notes:
In 1904 the Evengelische Friedens-Gemeinde zu San Antonio (the Friedens Church) was formed, first meeting in a building on Elmira Street and in 1927 at a new building at 611 E. Myrtle Street, which only consisted of a parsonage, education wing, and fellowship hall. The sanctuary and bell tower were not built until 1951. In 1936 the congregation changed its name to Bethany Evangelical and Reformed Church. The congregation moved to the Dellview area in northwest San Antonio in 1979, and the Myrtle Street buildings are now occupied by the Metropolitan Community Church.
